In the finall two years on the farm, we make up to 20 visits to each tree, attending to its health and beauty. In the high elevations of North Carolina, our Fraser andNordmann fir experience freezing temperatures prior to fall harvest, retaining water as they become dormant. In the Pacific Norhtwest, Noble fir thrive with constant rainfall in the Willamette Valley and are then transported in refrigerated trucks, while we often shake snow from the trees arriving from North Carolina. We cut and ship trees at regular intervals during the season so they arrive fresh from the farm.
